Current Concepts in Prosthetic Alignment

This presentation will review establishing a socket reference for transtibial and transfemoral alignment. Use of a vertical alignment transfer device will be reviewed, including common alignment positions, motions and pitfalls. Hands-on demonstration with check sockets and alignment jigs will be used.

This course is worth 1.75 scientific credits. If you attended this session at the 2025 National Assembly, please note you will not receive credit again.

In 2008, Tim began his career in O&P as a clinician yet was always involved in fabrication alongside technicians. After gaining clinical experience he shifted to education and instructed at St Petersburg College for several years, primarily focused on orthotic fabrication methods. Currently, he works for Hanger Fabrication Network and is engaged in standardizing fabrication processes and providing relevant training across the organization. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jenn and their two kids, which usually involves cooking, eating and a variety of different games.
